The HIOKI 3282 is a specialized tool designed for AC current applications, allowing users to measure the alternating current flowing through a wire without cutting it or using contact probes. The upper section of the device resembles a pair of pliers (or a clamp); when a current-carrying wire is passed through the center of this opening, the AC current is measured and displayed on the screen.
